I work as an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. This allows me to focus 100% on you and your needs to get you back to doing what you love. For physical therapy sessions, I provide my patients with a detailed invoice if they would like to submit it to their insurance for reimbursement.
-
NOPE! Virginia is a “direct access” state, meaning you do not need to see a physician or receive a referral before seeing a physical therapist. However, if you submit your invoice to your insurance company, they may require a referral for approved coverage out of network.

We accept a number of payment options, including cash, check, credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. If you may need a payment plan, we are more than flexible working with you to design a personalized plan to ensure you can get back to life pain-free! Payment is due at the time of service.
-
Absolutely not! I provide comprehensive care for individuals with orthopedic injuries regardless of gender, age, or skill level. However, I do not treat male pelvic floor clients.

Yes, I am. I have obtained my level 2 certification through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine/ Optimal Dry Needling Solutions.

At your first physical therapy appointment, I'll conduct a comprehensive examination to identify the underlying cause of your concerns. This examination will involve a series of specialized movement analyses and hands-on tests that are specifically tailored to your individual concerns. After the initial evaluation, we'll develop a personalized and comprehensive plan to address the issue that works best for you. Because each individual is widely different from the next, Physical Therapy treatment is never a one-size-fits-all approach, and we’ll work together to ensure that you receive the care and attention you need to achieve optimal results.
-
No, this is not an OBGYN appointment - no speculums, stirrups, or paper gowns. These sessions are designed to address the entire body, with particular attention given to the pelvic muscles and related symptoms such as pregnancy/ postpartum issues, painful intercourse, urinary leakage, and many more. FYI- An internal exam is not required to gain the benefits of pelvic floor PT.
-
This will depend on our evaluation/ conversation. All physical therapy sessions are 60 minutes 1-on-1.
-
Yes, of course! I don’t have any child care on staff, but I do have a pack ’n play with some toys- no need to haul around your own.
-
I use PtEverywhere, a HIPAA-compliant system with an app/portal for direct patient-therapist communication. For training programs, I use a system called TrueCoach.

Nope to all of the above :). I take pride in the work that I do and my scope of practice. I can provide you with general knowledge on birth preparation, fueling your body for optimal performance, and fascial work. I have connections with some fantastic doulas, nutritionists, and massage therapists and would be more than happy to share their information with you.
